It has come to my attention that a large segment of our fellow United States of America citizens are disgruntled, disillusioned and downright angry about the current (2008) Presidential Race.  

Why? For one simple reason! They, both contending parties and their constituents, continue to point the finger of blame for our current fiscal crisis everywhere but where it (The Finger of Blame) need be pointed.

A simple question ... does de-regulation mean no regulation? Of course not!

If no regulation were the case, would there be a need for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission? Of course not! If there were no regulation there wouldn't be a need for another useless government agency (although the term "useless" has never stopped a government agency from being formed, in my humble opinion).

O.K., we've established that even though something is "de-regulated" that doesn't mean that there are no regulations, correct? You betcha'!

Where do "de-regulated" regulations come from? BUTOFCOURSE - legislation! And ... Who ... legislates? Your's and my elected officials on the municipal, state and federal level both past and present!
