Clean up the mess ...
A Vote For "None Of The Above!"
Before speaking about what needs to be done to clean up the mess that these 545 people both past and present have
created, I would like to address, with your permission, the current state of our social/cultural situation.
The problem has been created by our insistent celebration of diversity!
Now ... please, before you hang me, give me a moment of your time.
It's a wonderful thing to be proud of one's ethnicity, culture and origins. It is, truly, the spice of life. It,
diversity, is what allows for life to be varied and not stagnant. Wonderful!
Every coin has two sides. The negative side of diversity is pitting one group against the other out of nothing
more than this ethnic, cultural and origins pride.
For centuries people in power have known this. It is the oldest political/military/religious strategy known to
humankind. It is called "Divide and Conquer." It is what those in power use to control the common people. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that
diversity has as it's root in the word divide. Do you understand?
What we NEED to celebrate is our commonality!
What do we have in common? I'm glad you asked ...
What we all have in common are these traits ...
We all want happiness.
We all want good health.
We all want to be reasonably prosperous.
We all want security.
We all want good friends.
We all want peace of mind.
AND ...
We all not only want but need HOPE!
(HOPE with good reason, I might add.)
Do You Agree? Good!
This is what I call the common good that all our elected officials should be working towards.

Now, in reference to those 545 people both past and present,
TERM LIMITS!
I don't see any reason why an office in a municipality, at the state level and on the federal level can't be
staffed by both parties with volunteer as well as paid staff to bring the newly elected up to snuff.
Sure, we pay with lack of continuity but we reap with (of all things - the irony of it all) freshness,
diversity!
Liberals will hate me for this but I feel that the playing field need be leveled. Those of means, those that
produce should have more than one vote.
Why? Because those that rely on volume of votes (and they do to keep their plush jobs as elected officials) will
make promises that they can't keep at present or won't be kept in the future because they were extremely outlandish promises to begin with. And
yet these outlandish promises are what get the emotions of the volume of voters to vote as they do.
I don't wish anyone ill but there are going to be a lot of angry people whose pensions have been diminshed because
of the outlandish promises made by elected officials. Especially when municipalities and states file for insolvency because they can't
handle the load. There's only so much tax one can extract before people say "enough is enough."
A chicken in every pot, two cars in every driveway.
There is a lot on intellect in this country (which is good) but there is very little wisdom.
Do us all a favor and send your elected officials here. You'll find out how to contact them to tell them (No, darn it! Demand THEM!) by going to this
site;
http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml
Email them! Write them! Phone them!
Tell them that you are going to vote for "none of the above." Let's see what their reaction will be. Do we have
the gumption to manage our employees? I hope so!
After you have contacted your elected officials and asked them, politely, to visit this site, please go to the
following link and send an email to three of your friends.
Perhaps they'll see as we do and perhaps they'll do as we do.
It'll become a movement. And that, my fellow Americans, is something that those elected officials cannot
ignore!
